Only two weeks to go!

With only 2 weeks to go, activities have been hotting up behind the scenes and our fantastic team of volunteers are hard at work putting on the final touches of this inaugural festival. And you, the supporters of this wonderful Festival, are coming through with ticket sales for our flicks that are going through the roof forcing Event Cinemas to move a number of the films to larger cinemas to manage the demand. So tell your friends to get their tickets now before we sell out!

Big plans are at hand for the celebratory night on Saturday May 11th and, though we can’t promise you Bubble gum, Eskimo pies, Liquorice or Canada dry, there’ll be no shortage of delicious Cape Malay Curry, koeksisters (the original recipe), KWV wines and Castle lager. If you feel like it, jump into the mood and don something uniquely African and get into real party mode. We’re also to be spoiled on the night with the beautiful voice of Zimbabwean-born Sydney diva, Tarisai Vushe.

A very big thanks to our Major Sponsor for the Celebratory night SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM. It’s been a great synergistic partnership.

Huge appreciation, too, for the generosity of two major sponsors of auction items.

BEDS AUSTRALIA have donated a Luxurious Bed Ensemble – will be there for testing at the Celebratory night!

Besides the great selection of films, your experience at this festival will offer you a taste of many delights of South Africa.

The very best thing is that all net proceeds are in support of Education without Borders (EwB), and specifically a new project in Bellville South, Cape Town.
