Back by demand, the SSAFF is going On Demand. SSAFF On Demand presents a selection of our 2019 and 2020 films. Available from the 3rd – 19th of July, for 24 hour rental. Watch and enjoy films in your home and on your couch. You can even pause your films to make more popcorn.

SSAFF On Demand

The Sydney South African Film Festival On Demand program is online and available in Australia only. You can watch on any device (tablet, smart phone, computer, smart tv) that can browse the internet and access vimeo. Simply go to https://vimeo.com/ssaff/vod_pages pick and purchase a film and enjoy it from your living room.

If your TV has access to the internet it is easy to watch SSAFF On Demand. Firstly you will need to make sure you have the Vimeo app installed on your television or device.

We recommend making the purchase from your computer or phone, so that entering payment information is easier. Then enter the Vimeo app on your selected device, log in and all of your purchases will appear under the watch later tab. Click the links below for more information:

There are multiple ways in which to play our films on your television from your computer, smart phones or tablets. Below are links to just a few.

Unfortunately not, our films are only available in Australia.

If poor internet speeds are affecting you, we recommend you click the settings icon in the video player that looks like a cog/wheel on the bottom right of the Vimeo player and lower the streaming quality to 540p or 360p, you may also try to pause your film and let it buffer before playing it again. We are here to help you as best we can. Please email us at info@ssaff.org.au and we will get back to you as fast as humanly possible.

Each film can be rented for $8 or you can purchase an all access SSAFF film pass for $60 which lets you watch all of our films on offer.

If you purchase our film pack you will have until the end of Sunday 19th of July to enjoy the films and watch them as many times as you can. For individual film rentals you have 24 hours to watch each film.
